Staff Picks: Most Memorable Finestra Designs- Part 1

Updated: Oct 15

Every project we undertake at Kolbe Finestra is a unique blend of artistry, craftsmanship, and passion. Our team works to ensure that every project is not only functional and efficient, but also brings the vision of each client to life. In today’s blog, we are excited to take you behind the scenes as our staff shares their favorite or most memorable Kolbe Finestra project. Keep reading as we celebrate the projects that have left a lasting impact on our team and our clients alike.  Rebecca’s Pick – The Kerrisdale  This residential home on 36th Avenue in Vancouver was the first project that Rebecca was ever involved with from start to finish since she joined the Kolbe Finestra team. From the initial quoting and giving the homeowners options, participating in client meetings, and showing the homeowners the versatility in product offerings to sending out final paperwork and seeing the project come to life, Rebecca was there through it all!

Rebecca sees this project as her right of passage onto the Kolbe Finestra team as it was a terrific learning experience for her. Rebecca admits that this home may never be the centrepiece of any design magazines, but the two folding doors, big segment window combination with PDL’s, the beautiful oval window and the front entry door with dentil shelves will always catch her eye.   Geordie’s Pick - The Buddhist Retreat  The Buddhist Retreat is a gorgeous hidden gem nestled in the trees on the outskirts of Vancouver. This project is Geordie’s personal favorite due to the radiused roof lines, extremely detailed and accurate measuring, and the natural beauty of the property, including the gardens. Geordie calls this one “an earlier WOW home!”

Our Kolbe Finestra team collaborated with JWT Architecture and Planning to bring the Buddhist Retreat to life. This project features Kolbe ultra-series aluminum-clad, wooden windows, and Timberwolf as the color for the exterior finish.  Team Pick – The Seaside Dream

Last, but certainly not least, we have a company favorite! Our Kolbe Finestra team likes to call this one The Seaside Dream

This contemporary project on the water allows the homeowners and their guests to immerse themselves in the beauty of nature while overlooking the ocean, from the comfort of their home. With such a stunning ocean view, custom luxury windows were essential for maximizing this property’s value and enhancing the overall living experience.

We collaborated with Blackwell Architecture on this gorgeous home on Marine Drive in B.C. while Fyfe Photography and Bujou Studios captured its beauty through photography.

There is something beautiful and unique about every single project that our Kolbe Finestra team works on, and these blog highlights provide us with the opportunity to share some of them with you! Stay tuned for Part 2 of this series, coming soon.
